We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications. This role focuses on full-stack development using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js), software architecture, database modernization, and technical leadership. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, improve existing applications, and support data analytics and reporting initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software applications using the MEAN stack. - Provide technical guidance on coding standards, architectural patterns, unit testing, and development best practices. - Collaborate with senior engineers to design and refine software architecture. - Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices. - Lead complex code refactoring, application modernization, and performance optimization initiatives. - Develop proof-of-concept (POC) solutions and support their implementation. - Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs. - Support database development and modernization initiatives involving MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server. - Collaborate with data and business teams to support reporting, analytics, and data integration solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. - Evaluate and recommend technologies to improve software scalability, maintainability, and performance. - Ensure adherence to security standards, company policies, and HIPAA/PHI compliance requirements. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - 6–10 years of professional software development experience. - Strong hands-on experience with the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js) . - Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. - Strong experience developing backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js. - In-depth knowledge of MongoDB and an understanding of transitioning from MongoDB to Microsoft SQL Server. - Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including database schema design, stored procedures, and query optimization. - Experience with Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, semantic models, dashboards, reporting, or data visualization. - Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, unit testing, and code optimization. - Proven experience delivering complex software projects and mentoring engineers. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Jira. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, or data pipelines. - Experience integrating Microsoft Fabric with Power BI. - Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure. - Experience with software modernization, legacy system refactoring, and database migration projects. - Employment Type: Full-Time - Contract Duration: Long-Term - Work Arrangement: Remote - Time Zone: Eastern Time (EST)
