Business Development Representative - US Funding

Fundwell is a US-facing fintech lending platform, and we're expanding our Johannesburg sales team. We help American business owners access the funding they need to grow, and every relationship begins with a strong first conversation. We're looking for Business Development Representatives who are confident on the phone and keen to develop a high-calibre outbound skill set. You'll work alongside a driven team in a fast-paced, target-focused environment, with the coaching and support to help you succeed. This is a phones-first position. Day to day, you'll be cold calling US business owners, opening conversations, qualifying interest, and setting up opportunities for our closing team. Requirements - Previous sales or cold calling experience, B2B preferred - A clear, confident phone manner suited to a US audience - Comfort with high call volumes and a performance-driven environment - Strong rapport-building and communication skills - CRM familiarity, or the ability to pick it up quickly - Willingness to work onsite in Fourways on US hours - Are eligible to work in South Africa Key responsibilities - Make high-volume outbound cold calls to US-based business owners - Open conversations, build rapport quickly, and qualify prospects - Handle objections with confidence and keep prospects engaged - Book qualified meetings for the closing team - Maintain an accurate pipeline and clear records in the CRM - Meet and exceed daily and weekly call and meeting targets Benefits - Basic is from R10 000 - R15 000 depending on experience, plus uncapped, accelerated commission - A supportive, high-performing onsite team in Fourways, Johannesburg - US working hours  (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM SAST) - Structured coaching and a clear path to develop your career in fintech If this sounds like the right fit, we'd love to hear from you.
