Test Specification Engineer

The Test Specification Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end definition and maintenance of test specifications, ensuring full traceability between requirements, test design, and validation results within complex automotive systems (focus: steering systems / ECU testing). • Ability to independently create test specifications • No reliance on detailed instructions • Experience working with European OEMs (VW preferred) • Strong documentation discipline EXPERTISE  - Analyze system, software and safety requirements (ASIL relevant where applicable) - Create high-quality test specifications and test cases (HiL / SiL / Vehicle) - Ensure end-to-end traceability (Requirement → Test Case → Execution → Result) - Review and optimize existing test specifications - Perform coverage analysis (requirements vs. test cases) - Support test strategy definition and refinement - Align with stakeholders (Germany / OEM / Suppliers) - Hands-on experience in at least one domain: - ECU testing - steering/braking systems - vehicle control systems - Minimum 5 years of experience Languages - English: Professional working proficiency (mandatory) - German: Considered a strong asset / plus METHODS & TOOLS  - MS Office & Project - JIRA and Confluence - Python ((basic level sufficient) - CANoe - CANalyzer - Test Design methodologies (boundary value, equivalence classes, state-based testing) - ISO 26262 / functional safety basics (nice: ASIL understanding) - IBM DOORS / Polarion / Codebeamer (Requirements Engineering) - Excel-based test management / OEM templates - vTESTstudio
